Are you thinking about starting food videos? If you are, you need to read 10 Things You Need to Know Before You Make Food Videos. before you read this. I go through the 10 things you need to think about before you take this on. If you are ready to jump in, picking a video editing software platform is one of the most important decisions you can make. This will all depend on the type of computer you have available. I didn’t want to overload you with choices, so I am highlighting my top 2 picks for each platform.
Best Software for MAC
Final Cut Pro $$$
If you are looking for the gold standard, look no further than Final Cut Pro. All the professionals use it, and it’s not very difficult to learn. You will pay several hundred dollars for it. If you aren’t serious about making videos, this isn’t one that would be worth the investment.
Camtasia $$$
Camtasia is a less expensive than Final Cut Pro but more expensive than Filmora. It has lots of great options for transitions, fonts, and customization.
Filmora $$
Filmora is a less expensive yet intuitive editing platform for any user. It’s price makes it more appealing for those just learning video editing.
iMovie (free)
iMovie is totally free and so easy to use. I always recommend people make something simple on iMovie first so they can have a feel for making videos.
Best Software for PC
Alas, there is not a Final Cut Pro for PC users. There are other options that are not expensive and produce quality videos. Both of these options are relatively minimal investments, costing less than $100.
Filmora $$
Filmora is a very affordable video editing platform. You can trial it for free. Filmora is so easy to use and it’s easy on your wallet. They just added MAC capability so it doesn’t matter if you have a MAC or PC.
Camtasia $$$
Camtasia is a less expensive than Adobe but more expensive than Filmora. It has lots of great options for transitions, fonts, and customization.
Adobe Premier Pro $$$
If you are an Adobe user, Premier Pro may be a really good fit for you. It’s priced the same as Filmora. I personally found it harder to use, but it really is an individual preference.

Hi ! I have filmora and I use it to edit my videos. But the problem is that every time when I export it, there is a watermark and it doesn’t go off. What would you suggest?

Hello! It sounds like you have the free version. The paid version is very inexpensive and you can get it on their website.
